Dienstag 16.05. Morning

In the morning, we met Mr. Ionița, an Orthodox priest. He is also a lecturer of theology at the 'Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu'. He took us to the Orthodox Church in Sibiu. After that, we visited the university and he gave us deep insights into the coexistence of different faiths in a city. He advocates for openness and tolerance among all faiths, as they essentially represent the same values, packaged in different traditions. Particularly interesting was the local version of our 'Meals on Wheels'. Although there is a social assistance system, some needy people rely on the help of the church, such as food deliveries. At lunchtime, we got to taste the same food from the kitchen.
