Rest Day in Menton

A day without the motorcycle, enjoying a late breakfast, peacefully in our room, and then exploring the old town of Menton. After the long, hot riding days, it was truly lovely. It was still warm at 30 degrees, but dressed lightly and enjoying an ice cream or a cool drink is a completely different experience than wearing motorcycle gear in that temperature. In the afternoon, we planned our routes for the next two days in the shady courtyard and booked our next hotels. Then, at 7:30 PM, we walked to Menton to find a restaurant, which we successfully did, and shortly after 10 PM, we returned to the hotel well-fed and with a couple of beers. Tomorrow at 8:00 AM, we have breakfast and at 9:00 AM we head towards the Gorge du Verdon with a forecast of 29 degrees.
