A department store - or even a bookstore - as a travel tip in Berlin?

Yes, why not! In bad weather or just for a cozy browse, you can spend hours in the Kulturkaufhaus Dussmann on Friedrichstraße. It's fun to stroll through the floors and discover all the things you never knew you might need: quirky, beautiful, useful items, and of course - books, books, books!

In addition to a large foreign language department, there is a vinyl and DVD floor with old and new movies, T-shirts, plush toys, gift ideas, and much more. There's even a small café for a coffee break – although you may need some luck to find a seat (we unfortunately weren’t able to).

A wonderful place for all who love culture – right in the heart of Berlin.
