Today we started early. We left Kaitaia at around 8 o'clock so that we would arrive at Cape Reinga as early as possible. After about one and a half hours, we finally arrived at Cape Reinga. It is the "almost" northernmost point of New Zealand, just a few meters away. A lighthouse symbolizes the bay.

The view was truly breathtaking. We decided to enjoy the landscape and go for a short 2-hour hike. We didn't regret a second of this time.
Because of my imaginary paths, we got a little lost in nothingness, but that didn't matter, because we found our way back by taking a small detour.
Afterwards, we headed back towards the car.
