The next destination should be the 'Great Sand Dunes'. From afar, we could already see large sand dunes. We could already imagine what awaits us. When we arrived, we were faced with huge sand mountains. We hiked into this 'desert landscape'. After about 10 minutes, I looked back and couldn't see a single centimeter of New Zealand's 'green landscape' anymore. It felt more like the Sahara, and for a brief moment, we didn't even know the direction of our car. Once we got back to the car, we drove for another 2 hours to KeriKeri. A 5,000-inhabitant village that would be our sleeping place for our further journey.
