Kayak tour and Corcovado NP

The first week of my time here is coming to an end, and as mentioned in the last post, I participated in a few offered tours. I did the night hike, Corcovado tour, and kayak tour. In the meantime, I've already done yoga three times to start the day well, and I've always eaten at the restaurant in the evenings. Just all of this combined would have cost me about €500/600 as a regular guest. Of course, I’m not complaining about that 😂 Lana (the owner) is simply an incredibly warm person, with a lot of knowledge, experience, and a spiritual lifestyle. She is an incredibly interesting person, that much is certain. And what she has accomplished here is simply amazing. Apart from getting familiar with systems like check-in/check-out or advising guests, I'm currently working on creating a new overview. This includes explanations of the offered tours which I have revised. (I hope I didn’t mention this in the last post :D)

I must emphasize one thing: I talked to so many guests, and the ease and friendliness that is present here is truly astounding. Especially the people I was on the tours with; we talked as if we had known each other for a long time. And they are all typically over 50 years old :D Most of them are Americans, and it's nice to see that there are still some who don’t fit the “classic mold.”

Today was also funny because two people checked in from Düsseldorf, who even lived in Bonn at one point. :D They also didn’t speak English very well and were quite happy that I could explain everything nicely and simply in German! On the 12th, I’m heading to San José; the hostel is booked for 5 nights. I might have the chance to fly back over the Corcovado National Park in a small plane… Let's see!
