Day 10+11: Tagaytay and Batangas

On Sunday, we checked in at Hillcreek Garden Hotel and celebrated the wedding of Princess (daughter of Uncle Abe) and Eugene there on Monday (4.2.). The extensive hotel grounds offered very comfortable rooms and a beautiful garden. So it was a great location for the wedding the next day...

On Tuesday, we went with Thea's brother to Taal Lake to do a hike to the crater lake. The volcanic island is located in the middle of the lake and the approximately half-hour boat ride with the Bangka was already an experience, with a great view of the silhouettes of the mountains and islands.

The hike up the volcano was challenging, with steep and difficult terrain. But it was worth it, because the view of the crater lake was fantastic.

At the end of the day, we went back to Uncle Abe's house and the next day Aunt Emy took us to Noni's Resort (Day 12), where Thea and I will relax for three days before the big family reunion starts on Saturday... With about 85 people.
