We had to prepare our breakfast ourselves today. We got up early to embark on the long journey from El Chalten to Perito Moreno. After about 600 km through the Argentine Pampa, including another 80 km on gravel roads, we arrived in Perito Moreno for the second time around 8:00 PM.
There isn't much to report about this long drive. Apart from a few herds of guanacos, an armadillo here and there, or a few nandus, there wasn't much to see. But sadly, we need to slowly head back towards Santiago; the road is still very long. In the 'Austral' restaurant in Perito Moreno, we treated ourselves to grilled chicken, Argentine beef, and a liter or two of Quilmes beer. We plan to decide where the next leg will take us during breakfast tomorrow - Buenas Noches....

Today, I covered 677 km from Perito Moreno to the Arrayanes Apartment in El Bolson, Province of Rio Negro, Argentina, with the Peugi.
Initially, again facing very strong winds through the Argentine Pampa, the landscape in the Province of Rio Negro became greener, hillier, and thus more interesting.
In El Bolson, we were only offered a small room with two beds, even though we were confirmed for two rooms through booking.com - so we promptly canceled that booking and immediately booked a new apartment via booking.com. We quickly received confirmation from booking.com. Unfortunately, the apartments had been closed for a while; it would have been nice if booking.com could have informed us about that....
The third attempt was finally successful....
Two rooms, okay.
In the very good restaurant 'A Gustu', we finally had our dinner at 9:30 PM.
Argentine beef from the grill with 'Papa Fritas' and salad, local cervesa, and for dessert 'frutos rojos con crema', once again everything was a poem
Tomorrow at breakfast, we will decide where to go next; we are still about
1300 km away from Santiago - not a big deal here , Buenas Noches!
