Bonus trip to Lo Valdes

After two genuine rest days in Santiago, we headed around 80 km east, into the heart of the Andes. Our destination: 'Refugio Aleman' in Lo Valdés, a holiday home of the missionaries at nearly 2000 meters altitude. A beautiful retreat for relaxation and unwinding, with stunning views of the mountains that rise almost 5000 meters high, a small pond right outside the door, and plenty of nature surrounding it. We couldn’t miss the chance to take a short hike through this lovely area. We also briefly visited the mountain villages of Lo Valdés and Banos Morales.

After dinner in the cozy kitchen of the house and a pleasant time in the garden, it was off to bed - Buenas Noches...
