By Cessna to Punta Arenas

Last breakfast in the southernmost city in the world and then off to the small airport.

The old Cessna plane, with space for 20 people, was already ready for takeoff. I had to duck to take my seat in this aircraft . After a very turbulent 1.5 hours, we landed in Punta Arenas. From here, many expeditions into the wilderness or to Antarctica set off due to its favorable location on the Strait of Magellan.

The Salesians, the second largest order in Chile, welcomed us and had prepared lunch for us; we will stay here for 2 days.

In the afternoon, a stroll through the city in fierce wind. The Sara Braun Palace is perhaps the most characteristic building in the city of Punta Arenas. Its surroundings, the Plaza Muñoz Gamero, and the beautiful buildings that surround it allow the palace to shine in all its splendor and refined beauty. Due to its history, the building reminds of all the hardworking immigrants who forged the prosperity of this southern city.

In the evening, a quick snack at 'Lobito', Chile's McDonald's, and then off to bed - Buenas Noches!
