9:00 AM, departing from Perito Moreno to Puerto San Julian on the Atlantic, a port city in the province of Santa Cruz, to the Cabana Kau Sorken, about 2 km from the 'City'.
The city of Puerto San Julian has a rich history.582 km along Route 43 and the famous Route 3, through the Argentine steppe once more. We spotted a few Nandus and some Guanacos; a couple of oil fields and strange art objects made the long journey a bit more interesting. Otherwise, just Pampa far and wide....
In Puerto San Julian, we visited a replica of Ferdinand Magellan's ships and an intriguing restaurant with a video show, rock music, etc. With a typical mixed Argentine grill plate for €38.50, including beef, bratwurst, blood sausage, lamb, beef intestines, and guanaco goulash (this made me think of all the Guanacos that had been run over on the roadside), I felt quite comfortable - okay, it wasn't so optimal for Uncle Padre....
