Day 11: exhausting 200 kilometers of rain to Lake Garda

Today, we traveled over 200 kilometers to Lake Garda from Völlan.

As a heads up, there are no pictures from the ride, as we put on our rain gear after just 25 kilometers and didn't take it off until we reached our destination.

It rained continuously, and the GPS guided us from one pass to another, from one hairpin turn to another.

In good weather, this would be a dream; in this weather, it was very exhausting.

Additionally, the Italians installed obstacles on the road with metal plates. The crosswalks are smooth as ice, as I discovered when I was braking downhill on a crosswalk. Suddenly, the front wheel slipped, and my heart dropped. Reflexively, I released the front brake, which helped me prevent a fall.

The arrival at our accommodation was rewarded by the view in the photo.

It is actually dry now, and the sun is shining. However, tomorrow is a motorcycle break. Everyone wants that. My wife, I, and our butts.. ;-)
