how-why-where

Where do we have to cross the street

How do we get across the street

Why is it so 'fucking bad' for pedestrians here? Sidewalks just stop. There are hardly any pedestrian crossings. We search for directions in vain.

The 4th and further W questions could be: What thought, what concept is behind this city planning?

So many questions - unfortunately no answers. Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, the last time we were here was in 2017. Our favorite city among the mega-cities. We find very little to nothing of what we liked. The city seems unkempt, neglected, strained, haphazardly built without sense or reason compared to before. To be honest? Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, you can do better, you should do better!

It doesn’t dampen our joy in Malaysia, but it makes us thoughtful. Previously, in some conversations in other places, we heard that our Malaysia has changed a lot. Let’s continue thinking in Ws: What vision, what attitude shapes political thought? Where is Malaysia heading?

We would like to understand it - with this feeling we continue. To Sri Lanka, we turn back, heading home. We are looking forward to the new, the unknown that we will encounter in Sri Lanka. We say goodbye to Southeast Asia, and that’s good. Rightly so. Every day was worth it.
