Today we walk to Haga Castle, the residence of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, which is about 6 km from the Royal Palace.

Haga Castle (Swedish: Haga slott), formerly known as the Queen's Pavilion (Swedish: Drottningens paviljong), is located in Haga Park in the Municipality of Solna in the Stockholm metropolitan area, Sweden. The castle, built between 1802 and 1805, was designed by architect Carl Christoffer Gjörwell after the Italian villa of ballet master Louis Gallodier in Drottningholm and commissioned by King Gustav IV Adolf for the royal children. It served as the residence or summer house for several members of the Swedish royal family – in particular, it is the birthplace of the current King – until King Gustaf VI Adolf made it available to the government in 1966, transforming it into a guesthouse for distinguished foreign official visitors. In 2009, Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt announced that the rights to the castle would be returned to the royal court so that it could be used as a wedding gift in 2010 for Victoria, Crown Princess of Sweden, and her husband, Prince Daniel, Duke of Västergötland. They moved into Haga Castle after their wedding on June 19 of the same year.
