Today we visit the steepest street in the world in Dunedin, the Chinese Garden, Harington Point, and the beach of Dunedin.

The settlement of Harington Point is the closest residential area to Taiaroa Head, the only colony of royal albatrosses on the mainland in the world, as well as several other regionally significant wildlife colonies. Between Harington Point and Taiaroa Head lies Pilot's Beach, where you can observe little penguins returning to their nests at dusk. In the hills southwest of Harington Point is the Otago Penguin Eco Restoration Alliance (OPERA), a breeding colony of yellow-eyed penguins.

All three offer public tours of their respective wildlife colonies. The jetty at Wellers Rock, south of Harington Point, is the starting point for boat trips and tours to explore the marine and bird life in the region.
