In short, I decided this morning to stay another night at this hotel. It's not a luxury hotel, but it was quiet and I slept well. So I had a lot of time to get to know Mariehamn a bit.
So after breakfast, I put on my hiking clothes, similar to my biking clothes, and set out to explore the city. For the first time, I used the super amazing hiking poles that Brigitte gave me for my birthday.
I didn't have anything specific in mind, I just went towards the park. Please take a look at the photos, as they tell more than I could here.
In the afternoon, I rested for the first time and then went to the nearby Maritime Museum. I arrived there 1 minute before 4pm. Just in time to see them close. The winter schedule still applies here, in the summer it would have been open until at least 5pm. Nevertheless, I still had the opportunity to see the main attraction and take photos of it.
After that, I walked along the waterfront and came across some giants among the ships. Then I looked for a restaurant and ended up in the center again.
