(15.07.) Around 09:00 AM, we leave the harbor, raise the sails, and continue our journey through the archipelago of Åland.
We reach the Lemström Canal in good time for the bridge opening at 15:00, and after a short wait, we can pass through the canal. We travel the last stretch to Mariehamn under engine power.
At around 15:45, the harbor master greets us - in his dinghy - at the harbor entrance and brings us to our berth.
After securing the boat, I set off to explore the town. Mariehamn has about 11,000 inhabitants and is the seat of the Parliament of Åland.
