Day 7 Bethells Beach and Auckland

On the last day in Auckland, we were supposed to go to Fairy Fall, but our host said that the track there was closed. However, we found a great alternative, Bethells Beach on the west coast, a beach on the Tasman Sea with black sand, an incredibly impressive display of waves.

Afterwards, we took a short hike to a small lake, Lake Wainamu, but the path mostly led directly through the riverbed.

Finally, we took a look at the Auckland skyline from the opposite Devonport.
