Today, Ralf and I woke up relaxed and eventually made our way to the sea with Heike, which is only 100 meters away. It was low tide, so we could walk very far out in this huge bay in the mudflat, and later swim back with the tide. This also meant we couldn't take our phones or anything similar; our dog Harry was allowed to come along. In the shallow water, we dug up clams that will be prepared later - only 50 can be taken per person per day (they sometimes check, which is good)!
In the evening, Ralf and I drove to the: World’s steepest street in Dunedin, totally steep... Danielle also lives here with her family.
Farewell evening filled with lots of talk about family, Māori tradition, and the 2 games we brought along (Jungle Speed and Wizzard), really a great time here!
