Had a good sleep, the room in this backpacker (LyLo) is quiet, although there’s a lot going on in the lobby, it’s really lively here!
We pack all our things into the car for the last time and head to the Art Gallery (free admission like everywhere in NZ). There are some really great pieces, including international artworks, as well as Māori art; the interior spaces are wonderful and architecturally integrated into the adjoining park, fascinating. A public life drawing session is currently taking place, and anyone can join in; we really need something like this back home... unfortunately it seems unlikely.
Refreshed with a Flat White from the museum café, we walk to the harbor and wander around there for a while; we'll still be sitting enough later... sigh.
The rest is quickly told: picnic in OneTree Park and enjoying the sun, then off to the airport, returning our car, and before we know it, we're at the airport joining the crowd, that’s it.
