Upon arriving in Verona, I decided to spend the first day at Lake Garda. Easily accessible by train, I went to Peschiera and oh, how I enjoyed my time there. It was the first time in a long while that I really saw the sun.
First, I explored the old town and then sat on a bench in front of the boats, chatting on the phone and enjoying the surroundings for a while. Then, I set off in the other direction of the island.
I believe the pictures speak for themselves; sun, lake, and mountains feel simply wonderful. It would have been nice to climb a mountain, but unfortunately, there wasn't one nearby, though one cannot have everything.
In the end, I dipped my feet in the water. It was so cold; it felt like a proper Kneipp bath.
Even though I didn't experience a lot, this trip was immensely refreshing. Just a day of pure relaxation.
