Today, we continued on our route heading north. But before we finally left Hue, we went to visit the third imperial tomb, which we didn't have time to see yesterday.
After seeing the tomb, our route took us away from the coast into the inland. The road changed compared to the last week, it became steeper, more winding, and it snaked along a river through the mountains. We couldn't stop smiling with joy at this magnificent landscape. So the day of driving went by too quickly and after over 170 kilometers, we reached the small mountain town of Khe Sanh. Here, there was a major air force base during the Vietnam War, which we will visit tomorrow morning...
