By bike along the Rhine

Our first longer bike tour took us from Neuf-Brisach to Breisach, from there along the German bank of the Rhine (very idyllic, but not particularly varied over time) over the lock facility and the hydroelectric power station at Fessenheim back across the Rhine to France and via Heiteren and Algolsheim back to Neuf-Brisach. This part of the route goes through the agriculturally intensive Rhine plain - at an unusual 30° heat for this time of year, it was quite a sweaty affair!
