Dear Kimchi fans,
Today also started very relaxed: Around 10:30 AM, we headed to Namdaemun Market – and treated ourselves to a cheese corndog for breakfast. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment: completely soaked in old oil. Well, you can't always hit the culinary mark. Cold brew for me and a matcha tea for Ramona quickly lifted the spirits 😄
Afterwards, we took the metro to the famous Gangnam district, arguably the most well-known area in southern Seoul – thanks to 'Gangnam Style' by PSY, it has become a global term. The song is about people who assume a rich, glamorous lifestyle without actually being able to afford it – in principle, they're posers, as we would say in Frankfurt 😄 To commemorate the hype, there is a huge statue in front of the COEX Mall: two hands stacked on top of each other, like seen in the music video – a popular photo spot, so of course, we had to stop. Then we went straight to the mall, where we also visited the architecturally impressive Starfield Library – perfect for more photos. And then? Of course, shopping! Ramona wanted to take the opportunity in Gangnam – after all, we bought an extra suitcase yesterday, and it won't fill itself. (And no, when we say 'shopping', we didn't mean books from the Starfield Library 😆)
Time flew by in the mall, and on our last day in Seoul, we wanted to indulge in Korean BBQ one last time. Once again, we did not regret it for a second!
