The last day in Seoul

This was our last day in Seoul, so I didn't have any other activities planned besides shopping. I thought we would get back to the hotel early that day and pack up.

In the morning, we went on a gift hunt to the Changsin-dong toy and stationery market, which is located right next to Dongdaemun Market. This street in the Jongdo district is about 300 meters long, but unfortunately many shops are closed on Sundays.

We successfully reached the Jongdo district by subway, but finding the market was not easy. I tried to find the right direction with the help of Google Maps, that is, the small street leading to the market, and finally a photo on Google Maps led me to where to actually turn into the right street. Although it was Sunday, quite a few shops were still open, and more and more locals came with their children to buy toys. The toy we were looking for was not there, but we did not leave empty-handed. From there we headed back to Myeong-dong to the Artbox store, and I tried to get the missing Korean language learning guidebook.

Besides Kyobo (Gwanghwamun) bookstore, we headed to the other largest and most prominent bookstore chain. This bookstore is Youngpoong Bookstore Jongno Main Branch, which is relatively close to Myeong-dong. The book I wanted to buy was not available at this store either, but I bought another book and a few other small items instead. This bookstore was also huge, just like the Kyobo store.

After the successful shopping, we went back to the hotel to drop off our bags. Since it was still late afternoon, I suggested that we look for Namdaemun Market, if it was close to our accommodation. We finally found it quickly with the help of Google Maps - we tried this on our first day in Seoul, although we didn't use Google Maps then - and joined the many tourists. Of course, we found something here that we had to buy, and we ate hotdogs again. In the meantime, my travel companion came up with the idea of eating some Korean hot food. He can't eat with chopsticks, so I suggested that we eat kimchi ccchi, and that was the beginning of our ordeal. At the suggestion of my "personal assistant-Google Gemini", we headed to a great place where you can only eat this, with difficulty, but we found it, but it turned out that it was not open on Sundays. We couldn't find the next suggested place, I already asked him to show us the new place in Myeong-dong. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it either, and it was already past 8 pm. After that, I started browsing the menus of nearby eateries, so we finally found a place that had this dish on the menu. There were quite a few people inside, so we thought we wouldn't have a place, but the owner motioned for us to go in and immediately found a table for 2 people. The kimchi tsig was reheated right on our table and even came with ramen noodles. The food was delicious and we even had local beer with it.

Instead of arriving at the hotel early as planned, we arrived back around 10:30 PM. At that time, I quickly started packing, as we were leaving for Incheon the next morning.
