Huerta de Rey (also known as Huerta del Rey) is a town and municipality in the southeast of the province of Burgos, in Castilla y León (Spain, Europe). It is part of the Sierra de la Demanda region. It belongs to the judicial district of Salas de los Infantes, the judicial party number 7 of the province of Burgos.

Today, Huerta de Rey is one of the richest municipalities, meaning it has the highest GDP in the entire province of Burgos, which results in a low unemployment rate and a good municipal budget. However, what Huerta de Rey is known for throughout Spain is being 'the town with the strangest names in the world,' recognized as such in the Guinness World Records, as it is possible to find people named: Evilasio, Gláfida, Filadelfo, Walfrido, Hierónides, Filogonio, Sindulfo, Burgundófora, Firmo, Aniceto, Marciana, Alpidia, Ercilio, etc.

It has a population (according to INE data for 2023) of 880 inhabitants and an area of 97.81 km². The municipality of Huerta de Rey is divided between the town of Huerta de Rey (the municipal capital) and the pedanías (villages) of Quintanarraya, Peñalba de Castro, and Hinojar del Rey, in addition to several scattered rural areas.

The beautiful parish church of Huerta de Rey is dedicated to Saint Pelayo Martyr; it was built in 1587 and is in the late Gothic style with Baroque influence.
