22 and going strong

Well hello hello!

Ahhh I am now proud 22.

Do I feel wiser? Unfortunately, no. But I think we all knew that earlier.

Unfortunately, I cannot attach videos here, but something interesting happened at my 'birthday party' :)

I actually celebrated inside. On the 8th there was a 'SAMO party' (that's the student association here) and I thought I could just take advantage of that. I have to clean up less than if I celebrate at my place :)

But pre-drinking was at our apartment. That's why I now know not only the German but also the Czech and French version of bus riding. Everyone basically calls it bus riding except the French call it 'Pyramid' (or probably actually 'la pyramide', but I didn't ask any further).

All very similar but you have to drink the most during 'pyramid'.

Anyway, we were at this party from around 11 and exactly at 23.58 the others organized that 'It's my birthday' played. Very sweet :))

And after everyone congratulated, Jara (one of the Czech dudes) took my drink away and he grabbed my feet and Lada (my roommate) grabbed my hands aaaand... I was very confused.

They then swung me back and forth 22 times and swung towards Matt (the other Czech in the team). It's tricky to explain but apparently it's called 'Hobla' and it's a Czech thing that is supposed to bring luck for the new year :)) Maybe it will work 🤷🏻

It was definitely funny :)

But since I was out a bit longer, on my actual birthday I just slept a lot and talked to home again 🥰🥰

In the evening our neighbor brought us a little 'gift' - strawberries :) We enjoyed them in the evening with chocolate, tea, and an apocalyptic movie (Lada and I) 🍓🫶🏼

But don't worry, I don't just party, I also study :) Fortunately, this week was quite relaxed but tomorrow I have 'Business in China' from 9 am to 3 pm (on a Saturday because apparently it didn't fit anywhere else 🥲)

And right now I'm also sitting in the library. It's actually very nice here and you can calmly do your stuff or just read :) Oh, and the Wi-Fi here is very good - much better than in my apartment 😂

This time I should also manage not to revise my old post :)
