Isle of Skye I

I don’t even know where to begin… today was filled with beautiful, funny, silly, exhausting, and amazing moments.

This morning we set off for the Isle of Skye. This island is said to be the most beautiful in all of Scotland, as read in every travel guide or blog. Therefore, we took the 2.5-hour drive and even booked an overnight stay there to see as much as possible.

Our first stop was the Old Sligachan Bridge. Myths and legends say that the old bridge is a fairy portal and possesses magical powers. If you hold your face in the water for 7 seconds, you would gain eternal beauty. Of course, we jumped on this and all dipped our faces in. Some came up shivering, while some of us also wanted to achieve inner beauty and took a sip of the water - supposedly forgetting to take a deep breath beforehand 🫣 but we all just laughed so much and had so much fun that this is probably the true magic of the place. The sheer joy of just participating in every silly thing.
