Relaxation, midnight sun on Senja, and an afternoon on Sommerøy
After a very relaxing morning (with a hearty breakfast, nice conversations with Davey and Sawa, and time to read and draw), I spontaneously decided to turn night into day (or...

The next morning, there was again a bright blue sky, screeching seagulls, white beaches, and a wonderful vacation feeling.
I took the first ferry back to Senja Island. I was familiar with the route by now, so I could drive without a GPS to the starting point of my hike. My legs felt a bit heavy, but that passed relatively quickly.
The hike to Barden was a lot of fun and intentionally challenged me a bit. I had to occasionally leap over my own shadow to conquer the exposed sections. It was absolutely worth it. Once again, I could look at the peaks of Segla and Hesten and admire the fjord, through which I had already traveled several times.
Afterwards, I drove to my accommodation and spoke a little Norwegian with my host, Trond. He recommended two more hikes that I wanted to explore later.
After a hearty portion of cheese noodles (from a packet), I first went once more to the beautiful viewpoint from Friday night at 2 AM to see the mountains known as “Devil’s Teeth” in a different light. This time, I was not alone there, but there were a few people present.
Afterwards, I wanted to take a hike in the town where my accommodation was located, but it turned out to be too marshy for me—I was reluctant to stand ankle-deep in water. Trond had prepared me for that possibility… So I turned back and drove to the next recommended hike. It was the circumnavigation of the small mountain Knuten, with a small lighthouse. The sun was phenomenal again. The tip was fantastic.
How wonderful it is to sleep in a regular room with a comfortable bed (and by the way, a brilliant view)…
