The stove was off
Today, we actually had a pretty straightforward plan. Drive to La Calera or La Puntilla, enjoy a leisurely brunch, and then spend the day at Playa del Inglés. A solid vacation...

A day after the stove fiasco, the world looked significantly better again.
We hadn't really planned anything big, except for going out to have a nice dinner somewhere in the evening. However, that can be surprisingly complicated on La Gomera.
The island is beautiful, but at the same time, you quickly notice that everything runs at a significantly slower pace here. There are no small shops, relatively few restaurants and cafés, and above all, a lot of nature and mountains. So the search for a restaurant began.
Many good spots were about an hour away from our Airbnb, and after the closed cafés from the previous day, I really didn't want to be left hungry in front of a closed door again. So I actually started calling restaurants like a slightly stressed restaurant secretary on a mission.
In the end, we chose Restaurante El Faro – Pescado y más, which was exactly an hour away.
However, the drive there was completely absurdly beautiful once again. We drove through layers of clouds, suddenly ended up in dense fog, and then back through fairy-tale forests that looked somewhat creepy in parts.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we relaxed and tried various tapas.
On the way back, the mood became completely unreal again. We drove back up through the clouds, and when we came out of the fog, this incredible view lay before us... including a view of Teide. Really one of those moments when you become briefly silent.
Of course, we had to stop at two viewpoints. First at the Mirador de Moreno and later again at the Mirador de Vallehermoso. The pictures speak for themselves ...
