More flowers, skyline, and a very different Carrot Cake

Another day in Singapore started exactly as it should. With breakfast at Tiong Bahru Bakery. Coffee, croissant, everything was very good as usual.
After that, we headed towards Marina Bay Sands. At least that was the plan.
But first, we made a stop at Lau Pa Sat to have some lunch. Plenty of choices, a lot of chaos, and somehow you end up finding just the right thing.
Then we continued to Chinatown. The area is really beautiful with its colorful buildings and small streets. However, there is also something one has to get used to. The smell of durian.
This fruit is quite popular in Southeast Asia but smells… let's say very intense. It was a bit off-putting for us.
In the afternoon, we finally arrived at Marina Bay Sands and went straight to the top bar. And yes. The view is just as impressive as you would imagine.
Up there, we had fries, Aperol Spritz, and another round of drinks. Just sitting, looking at the skyline, and enjoying the moment.
However, the jetlag did kick in a bit that day. Instead of being out for a long time, we returned to the hotel relatively early this time.
