Hello everyone. I have been a bit lazy with photography the last few days. Thanks to Beate, I finally had some good bread in New Zealand and a proper breakfast. It seems one cannot escape baking for oneself in the long run.
In the south of Wellington, there is a bird sanctuary that is completely enclosed by a fence to keep mammals out. Here, many bird species can recover, and naturally, you can also spot rarer specimens. The most common birds we saw were Tui, Bellbird (more often heard), Fantail, Saddleback, and Hihi. Overall, it was a lovely walk through rainforest with an increased chance of spotting birds.
Afterward, we drove to a bay in the north of Wellington. Nothing special, but always nice.
