Travel day. Today we were heading to the North Island. Taking a ferry is always exciting, especially wondering if it will actually operate. Fortunately, we booked the Connemara, as her sister ship has been out of service for 2 days due to a malfunction.
Check-in was quick via the license plate, and then we had to wait about 1 hour until the cars were loaded. Everything was well organized, but it still felt a bit intimidating to board such a large ship.
The crossing itself was uneventful except for a visit from a few dolphins.
In Wellington, we then headed to family - true Kiwis.
