Another travel day, this time along the West Coast. Here, there are fantastic, endless beaches filled with driftwood. In some places, large rocks rise from the water, and there are many viewpoints as well.
The main destination of the day was the Pancake Rocks. Visitor center, well-maintained paths, information boards, one wonders why all this is free. The circular path is very well laid out, with a viewpoint at every good spot, and it’s simply perfect. The only issue can be the parking spaces, which can get tight. Overall, the West Coast is less visited than the East and South of the island.
Tomorrow, we head towards Abel Tasman.
