At 08:00, the meeting point was right in front of the ship. We took a comfortable bistro bus (without meals) to Florence. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the tour guide. She only spoke English and was only willing to share the most important information about the trip. No information about the country and the people during the approximately 2-hour drive. Just before Florence, there was a short stop at a highway rest area for restroom use and refreshments.

At the end of our tour, our guide bid farewell with a tip for the approximately 1-hour lunch break. We were to look for a restaurant away from the tourist trails. We heeded this advice and found a small Italian café, Caffè Michelangiolo. First empty, then filled to the last seat. Tourists didn't stray there today at least.
The meeting point from the morning was now also our meeting point again. The tour guide took us back to the bus, and off we went to Pisa.
After about 1.5 hours of driving, we reached the city. Here came the disappointment of the day. Not only the lack of information during the trip, but there was also no tour guide available. Here is the Leaning Tower, and here we will meet again in an hour. No information, nothing. Google helped us with all the information. But it shouldn't be like that for the price of such an excursion. Afterwards, we went back to the ship.
