At the end of the second week, I had a small photo shoot for my study program GoBali. It happened by chance. They were looking for two girls and two boys to renew the pictures for the GoBali website and social media channels.
I thought it would be a good opportunity to get to know the university and some people before the start of the semester, so I applied for the position ;). 'Back then' I didn't know how this day would end for me.
My Friday started at 6 a.m. Luckily, Charley and Anka drove the route to the university in Jimbaran with me the day before so that there wouldn't be any unpleasant surprises. However, I was still a bit nervous because the university is about a 45-minute scooter ride away and most of the way is a highway called Sunset Road, where 80% of scooters are racing in multiple rows to their destination.
When my alarm went off, I noticed that the power wasn't working. Boiling water for coffee, showering and applying makeup in the dark, as well as accessing the university address through my emails, were out of the question. Despite all that, Google Maps brought me to my destination at 8 a.m. and the wind on the ride kept me awake even without coffee. I quickly got to know my shooting partners and some GoBali staff, and then things really got going. Photos while studying, photos on campus, photos on a bench, photos on the beach. Except for a few backstage pictures, I don't have any material to offer yet ;):
