From Lake Tahoe, we traveled along a beautiful mountain route to Sacramento, where we visited the Capitol and took a very short stroll through the city. However, as we found the city and its vibe unappealing, we decided not to stay and instead move further towards the Pacific. The next morning, we headed to the Point Reyes National Seashore. Unfortunately, the path to the lighthouse was closed due to strong winds, and the classic fog cast a melancholic mood over the nature-swept landscape, with a coyote stealthily following us.
The weather cleared up significantly as we walked from the Life Boat Station to Chimney Rock, enjoying the fresh sea air and the bird and plant life. So many different types of grass!
Later, we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge to San Francisco, where we spent the evening at Ocean Beach near Golden Gate Park, people-watching.
