Serengeti Part 3 - The Return of the Serengeti Knights

On Day 4, we spent the morning again in the central Serengeti before heading to our next destination.

During the night, some noises were heard, and we initially thought they were zebras. In the morning, our driver Robert told us that it was a pride of lions living near the camp; good thing we received this information just now😅

Our main focus today was to spot a leopard. After an unsuccessful attempt, we did manage to enjoy the experience nonetheless.

Since leopards are solitary and very well camouflaged, they are not easy to find. Once one is spotted, this is communicated via radio.

In this case, the poor animal was surrounded by over 40 jeeps.

That left us with a guilty conscience.

On the subsequent game drive, we were able to observe a troop of baboons, a family of meerkats, and a golden jackal.

Afterwards, we made our way back to the Ngorongoro Crater Camp at an elevation of 2600m.
