Today we drive through hilly inland to reach the St. Lawrence River from Gaspe. The first thing we notice are the many signs indicating hunting grounds and fishing spots along the Riviére York River.
The landscape is beautiful and we turn onto a gravel road that takes us deeper into the forest. Unfortunately, after 8 km, we can't go any further and we have to turn back.
The beautiful colors all around make us stop for photos again and again.
The sun is shining, but due to the strong wind, it feels quite cold, so our picnic by the lake is very short.
In the afternoon, Doug and Lucille are already waiting for us at our accommodation. They are traveling in the opposite direction, so our paths cross. They surprise us with cheese from a fromagerie and homemade treats. We are happy to see them again!
