We have about 300 kilometers ahead of us, and we are glad to have chosen such a large car.
The drive takes us through colorful forests, the leaves are shining in the sun in all colors. Big signs keep pointing us to moose. We can spot one on a forest path as well. But by the time we turned the car across the highway, the moose is gone.
In Campbellton we cross the bridge over the Restigouchi River. We leave the province of New Brunswick and enter the province of Quebec on the other side. From now on, French is spoken and the clock is set back one hour. We use the gained 60 minutes for a picnic.
Always along the coastal road, we reach our accommodation in Saint Simeon. There we are warmly welcomed by Marie-Josée at her La Ruelle hébergement. This little house is amazing - great furnishings and great outdoor facilities
Before the sun sets, we follow Marie's recommendation to visit a small lake. On the way there, we see white-tailed deer and a coyote in the distance. After that, we enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in the house with Canadian red wine.
