Playa Negro

Every beach in Puerto Viejo has its own uniqueness. The nearby Playa Negro is almost deserted and consists of the finest black glistening sand made from volcanic rock. Before reaching there, you pass by the lively town beach, watch the locals having fun in the water, get up close to pelicans, or enjoy a drink at one of the nice beach bars.
