Island in the sun...

Hiya,

It can go so quickly... today is the last day on the island. Tomorrow at 07:00 the ferry goes back to Ullapool.

We took it very easy today, after all, Mr. Fü has a 4-hour drive ahead of him tomorrow.

We passed by 'Alpacaccinos' several times and it was always closed. After a short search this morning, we knew that we would definitely encounter an open Alpaca café today from 11:00 onward. So off we went...

What awaited us was sooo much more than fluffy Alpacas... 3 wonderful and cuddly pigs with the melodious names Humpty, Dumpty, and Wallace. In addition, there were 3 Jacob sheep, also known as four-horned sheep. 'Normal' sheep (in white), black sheep, several breeds of various chickens, mallards, mandarin ducks, Indian runners, turkeys, geese, peacocks.... I can hardly list everything. Martin, the owner, takes in everything that is injured or animals that cannot find a home elsewhere. And every animal has a name, and some of the chickens are 'house chickens', meaning they can come into the house in the evening. A rooster, who actually lived 'next door', flew over every morning and returned home in the evening. After about 6 months, he must have decided that he preferred being with all the fancy chicks than being alone at home and simply stayed :o))

Then we visited a small pottery, the Coll-Pottery. There, the owner works with clay and glass and creates wonderful things.

On the way back, we stopped at Coll Beach.

After some scones at 'Becketts and Sons', we returned to the castle, as we still need to gather our seven things.
