and was the capital of the Nabataean Kingdom from the 6th century BC until the Romans annexed the kingdom in 106 AD. The landscape was formed about 30 million years ago. Rainwater seeps into the porous red sand, but is caught by the impermeable granite underneath and re-emerges at various springs. The king pursues a policy of neutrality towards Israel and the establishment of an air corridor for humanitarian aid for the Palestinians.<p></p><p>This trip took place in 2018 and involved a lease extension for two Jordanian areas used by Israeli farmers. Amman is the capital of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. King Abdullah has reigned since 1999, and he is the successor of his father King Hussein from the Hashemite dynasty. His mother is English.

The main religion in Jordan is Sunni, which is the largest denomination in Islam. Sunnis follow the Sunna, the way of life documented in the Hadiths, the teachings of the Prophet.

The Roman Theater is located in the center of Amman. It was completed in 161 AD and is regularly visited today for festivals, theater events, or sports events.

The Abdullah Mosque and the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George are located next to each other. A testament to tolerant politics towards minorities, which also contributes to political stability.

Jerash is located 40km north of Amman and is the best-preserved ancient city east and south of the Sea of Galilee. It was founded in the 2nd century BC and was inhabited until the 8th century AD.

The Dead Sea is a salt lake, essentially an endorheic lake in a dry region. It is fed by the Jordan and is known for its high salt content, ten times that of the oceans. It is recommended for skin diseases such as atopic dermatitis and psoriasis.
