Germany's beautiful corners Schönwald in the Black Forest

Schönwald is a health resort with a healing climate and is located in a sunny high valley in the midst of the Black Forest. At an elevation of about 1000 m above sea level, Schönwald is one of the highest towns in Germany.
Here, the first original cuckoo clock with a moving bird mechanism was created in 1737.
Today, Schönwald is an integral part of the German Clock Route, which is 320 km long.

The world-famous Black Forest Cherry Cake,

we actually had it in a southern region of Chile with a German immigration history known as “Torta Selva Negra”, which is a Black Forest specialty. The most important ingredient: cherry brandy huiuiui … after that, hiking becomes really fun. The name comes from the traditional Bollenhut costume. The dress is black like the chocolate sprinkles, the blouse is white like the cream, and the cherries are as red as the pompoms on the hat.

A vast network of trails marked with blue and yellow diamonds, traversing gorges, lakes, and gourmet paths like those here in Schönwald shape the hiking life. The High Black Forest has been honored as a Premium Hiking Region by the German Hiking Institute.
