Where is Emma?

Arrival

On Wednesday afternoon, I arrived at the Schweibenalp as planned. The Schweibenalp is located in the Bernese Oberland, directly above Lake Brienz. The "Center of Unity" is a spiritual and sacred place where seekers, people on their inner journey, from all backgrounds and faiths are welcomed. Wonderful seminars, retreats, and daily spiritual rituals are celebrated here.

I will be working here for 4 weeks. I chose this as a preparation for the great journey. I felt the magic of this place immediately.

Reception & Digital Detox

Now 5 days have already passed here, and I hardly think of the digital world or friends and family back home (Sorry, folks). I immediately felt a connection with my "co-volunteers" and was warmly welcomed by each individual here with open arms.

Where is Emma?

We are at an altitude of 1130 meters, and during the second night, we were surprised by about 30 cm of new snow (or so). Emma was a small private igloo, and the road into the valley could only be cleared for vehicles again in the afternoon. For a while, it felt like time stood still. The snow cover and the accompanying silence made this place even more special.

Grateful

I feel how I can regain my balance internally here and am very grateful to live here with like-minded people.

On Tuesday, after 5 working days in the kitchen, I will have my first day off here. I am really looking forward to it because Emma needs to be moved a bit again, and I am eager to explore the area.
