Today's morning walk was to the north. We checked out a rubber tree plantation on our way to Hippie bar, and on the way home, we made a stop at Rock bar. It's fascinating how the building holds up and that a family actually lives there, with children too. Before heading home, we ended up at Chai Chai for a shake with lemon, ginger, and honey, as our daughter woke up with a sore throat. We spent the rest of the day at our beach. We went a bit further north, and suddenly, after the rock garden, our daughter panicked and wanted to turn around immediately. The strip after the rock garden is clearly a spot for nudists.
As evening approaches, our daughter goes to bed while I head to the store to buy cold water and electrolytes. Once home, my daughter decides to try to eat a little… she had plain rice and then went to bed. We'll see if we need to go to the doctor tomorrow.
I really miss having a reading lamp. The room has a ceiling lamp, but it's so poorly positioned that it casts a shadow over the book when lying in bed trying to read.
Today, a nice older couple left the island, and a few hours later, a Swedish family arrived. I don’t know why I refer to them as an older couple, as they felt anything but old retirees… the only true part is that they have free time and can travel for three months every winter. We miss them already.
