Tag 1: It begins!

This year for the first time we planned a vacation that was not fully self-organized. We selected two modular trips through Dertour, which we wanted to combine with our own activities.

The bags are packed, we are ready to go!

The first challenge was already the journey to the airport in Berlin - on the A2 there was not only the usual construction traffic jam but also a complete closure. So, we first drove overland towards Berlin. But overall, we made it through quite well.

After we parked our car in the lot, we took the shuttle bus to the airport.

Since the online check-in didn’t work, we unfortunately had to stand in the long line at check-in. It took quite a while, which made us miss our pre-booked time slot for security control. However, as it wasn’t too crowded there, we were allowed to go through even after our scheduled time.

The flight departed on time, and thanks to the extensive entertainment program, the roughly 5 hours until landing in Doha went by quite quickly.

Here we had a 3.5-hour layover before our onward flight to Indonesia.
