Hello everyone,
I can hardly believe it, but I have already been in London for five days and have experienced so much in this short time! It feels like I have seen and tried a lot, and I am really happy to share these new experiences with you.
The Start at the University
Yesterday was a very special day – my first visit to the university. I finally picked up my student ID and strolled through the various university buildings. What can I say? The university is truly beautiful! The entire campus spans 26 different buildings spread throughout London. It almost feels like I am in many small places at once, and each building has its own charm. I can't wait to discover even more!
The Tourist Highlights
In the past few days, I have also taken the time to explore some of the most famous landmarks in London. I went to the Liberty shopping center – a paradise for shopping enthusiasts – and then strolled along the famous Oxford Street, soaking in the atmosphere while window shopping and trying out some cafés.
A particularly special moment was my walk through London yesterday, where I visited the Tower Bridge, the Tower of London, and the Borough Market. The sights were even more impressive than I had imagined, and the Borough Market was a true delight for the senses! And yes, I of course tried the famous strawberries in chocolate sauce – an absolute must. 😅
A Relaxing Day in Hyde Park
Today, after an introduction to the university buildings, I headed straight to the Sherlock Holmes Museum. That was an attraction I definitely didn't want to miss, and I can really recommend it! There are so many interesting details from the life of the famous detective, and the museum itself has a charming atmosphere.
After my visit to the museum, I retreated to Hyde Park to simply relax. Here I am now, enjoying the sunshine, drinking a coffee, and eating a piece of chocolate brownie while thinking about what I might do next. This park is simply the perfect place to let my thoughts wander after an exciting day.
Onward!
So those were my last five days in London – full of new impressions, great experiences, and exciting discoveries. I am curious to see what the coming days will bring! I will definitely keep you updated. There is still so much to see, experience, and try!
See you soon,
Steffi
