Orokawa Bay - Beach Day

Hi everyone,

This is my last post for today. However, I am getting closer to today's date! ;)

Since summer has slowly arrived in New Zealand, we decided to have a beach day and went to Waihi and Waihi Beach. This was also one of the last days for a colleague at work, and she really wanted to visit this amazing beach one more time.

The drive there takes more than an hour, but it was definitely worth it, as the beach was absolutely fantastic. We didn't stay at the main beach; instead, we walked 45 minutes to another bay and beach. On that day, there weren't many people there, and we could fully enjoy the entire beach.

There were large trees along the beach that provided some shade, and we made ourselves comfortable under them. However, we didn't go in the water because it was still so cold that we sat on the beach in our shirts, sweaters, and shorts. Nonetheless, we had a great time that day.
