Friends of the sun,
I am currently sitting here with my slightly toasted feet in the sand, writing some posts for you, as I am now in Fiji and it's time to get back on track. Well, I'm just experiencing a bit too much and have seven hours too little in a day. I'm enjoying Fiji to the fullest, and you can definitely look forward to my posts about it.
First, about my adventures in New Zealand. Working in Hobbiton has the advantage that I almost always had people around who wanted to experience things and do cool stuff. This included the second trip to the Waitomo Caves and the Black Water Rafting here.
So Dylan and I drove out to crawl a bit in the caves and see the amazing glowworms.

After a short safety briefing, we went into the cave, into the dark, and off into the water! I had so much fun! The whole experience is a mix of climbing, caving, and a big water fight. A dream!

During the tour, there were always options for me to choose from depending on how narrow I wanted it to be and how much I trusted myself. The guides really paid attention to each individual and ensured that everyone felt safe. And as an ULTRA Plus, I could continually admire the glowworms on the ceiling and walls. Especially cool at the end of the tour, because here I was just sitting in the tube, and all the glowworms on the ceiling formed their own universe and their own Milky Way that I could dream of while the tube simply floated through the cave.
Attached are some photos provided by the company, which of course can only be taken with an impressive camera and exposure factors. Still cool to see, and you can also see exactly what glowworms are.

Illuminating, right? ;)
Greetings from Fiji,
Britta
